Service Learning

Literal
•  I would help make admission charts get certain papers for charting. I would take charts to conference clean the charts and do filing. I would make copies and go put mail and papers in patient’s rooms. I would also help with anything a nurse or staff needed. I did about 75 hours.

Interpretive
What is the most important thing you gained from this experience? Why?
The most important thing I gained would have to be the advice I got from all the nurses. They taught me a lot and I now know what I will be dealing with. I know how my emotions come into play and the nurses helped me to deal with my emotions.
Applied
How did what you did help you answer your EQ? Please explain.
It gave me my best answer controlling your emotions. It showed me that nursing deals with a lot of emotions and you have to be able to control them. If your emotions get in the way it can affect how you take care of a patient.
