Independent Study 2

Literal

(a) I, Elisha Yacko, affirm that I completed my independent component which represents 30 hours of work.

(b) I completed many different chapters on the mango program on the san Bernardino library online databases. It went up to 10 chapters covering Greetings, Goodbyes, shopping, drinks and dinning, what’s your name, getting around, getting help, numbers and currency, and how do you pronounce it?

Interpretive

I went on my online teaching program every day I liked how I could see what chapters I had gone over and how I could go back and review certain categories that I wanted more practice on. The program went in sections and started out with greeting and started build up so you could start having a full conversation in Spanish.
Applied
It really didn’t help me answer my EQ. Spanish is the secondary language used at Casa Colina but there are so many other languages used also. It did help me realize that learning Spanish can help me out a lot when I become a nurse, learning any other language besides your primary can help a lot. It can help you communicate with a lot more patients and have a one on one conversation with them and you get paid more if you know more than one language.
